Sean Aston to Guest Star on CBS's NCIS

According to Entertainment Weekly, 'Lord of the Rings' star Sean Aston will be guest starring on an upcoming episode of the CBS drama, NCIS.

Aston will portray a psychological operations investigator on the episode and will appear along with guest star Jamie Lee Curtis who will play the role of Department of Defense employee Charlotte Ryan. The episode is slated to air this summer.

Series executive producer Gary Glasberg commented, "I've been a big fan of Sean's for years and this is a part we literally tailored for him. We couldn't be happier to have Sean join us. Jamie's character, Doctor Ryan, oversees a team of brilliant PsyOps agents and Sean will prove to be her go-to operative. We can't wait to throw him into the mix, watch it develop, and have some fun."

Astin's TV credits include the role of Lynn McGill in the Fox series '24' and an upcoming guest appearance on TNT's 'Franklin & Bash'.

NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8/7c on CBS.
