Long out of print, The Beatles’ 1967 Magical Mystery Tour film was not broadcast in the U.S. on its release and is unique in that it was conceived and directed by The Beatles themselves. In fact, few people have ever seen the film in its entirety. The Paley Center For Media, in association with Apple Films, is pleased to host a special screening of the newly restored film, now with a remixed soundtrack, on Wednesday, October 24 at 6:30 PM. After the screening, a panel of illustrious artists will discuss the enduring legacy of the film and its importance in The Beatles' canon.

Magical Mystery Tour was considered confusing and disjointed by many of the older generation of fans when it was originally seen on British television on Boxing Day 1967, but 45 years later, this experimental film with a loose narrative is considered way ahead of its time. Magical Mystery Tour features classic songs "I Am The Walrus," "The Fool on the Hill," "Blue Jay Way," and "Your Mother Should Know," as well as the catchy title track.

The restored Magical Mystery Tour has just been released on DVD and Blu-ray and on iTunes. For more information, go to: www.thebeatles.com.
