BWW reported yesterday that Broadway and film producer Scott Rudin is developing a feature film version of Comedy Central's sitcom WORKAHOLICS. Now, Variety writes that Rudin and actor/producer Seth Rogen are teaming up with the actors from WORKAHOLICS for an untitled new project not affiliated with the TV series.
WORKAHOLICS creator Kyle Newacheck will helm the movie, with cast members Anders Holm, Adam DeVine and Blake Anderson starring. Holm is also writing the script.
Executive producer of the TV series The Newsroom, Rudin has worked on film adaptations of the novels Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo and No Country For Old Men. His Captain Phillips, starring Tom Hanks, is currently in theaters. In the works are a new romantic comedy featuring Bradley Cooper and Emma Stone, The Grand Budapest Hotel, Rosewater, Ex Machina, Finally Famous, Sinatra and The Smoker.
