Scott Pelley will broadcast live from Florida tonight, Oct. 6, and tomorrow, Oct. 7, with full coverage of Hurricane Matthew on the CBS EVENING NEWS (6:30-7:00 PM, ET) on the CBS Television Network.
Tonight, Pelley will anchor the broadcast from West Palm Beach as one of the most powerful hurricanes in nearly a decade makes its way to the Southeast.
A team of correspondents will contribute to
CBS News' coverage from across the Southeast, the Atlantic Coast and the Caribbean.
CBS News correspondents Manuel Bojorquez and Mark Strassmann are reporting from Florida. Omar Villafranca is in the Bahamas, Errol Barnett is in Georgia and Jericka Duncan is in South Carolina. Kris Van Cleave will cover the storm's impact on travel, and WBZ Chief Meteorologist Eric Fisher is tracking the storm. Reporters from
CBS Newspath and
CBS stations will also contribute to the extensive coverage.
