The book, by Anatoly Kucherena, Snowden's Russian lawyer, mostly chronicles Snowden's stint seeking asylum from the United States in Russia.
Shailene Woodley is also in the movie as Snowden's girlfriend. Eastwood will portray "a National Security Agency agent who leads the group."
Son of Clint Eastwood, Scott has appeared in his father's films Gran Torinto and Flags Of Our Fathers, as well as Invictus, Enter Nowhere, The Forger, Trouble with the Curve, Fury and more. Among his upcoming big screen projects are The Longest Ride and Diablo.
