Science Channel's 2018 hot streak continued last month as the network enjoyed its highest rated June ever. The record-setting month also allowed for Science Channel to earn its highest rated second quarter in its history. June also marked the fifth time in the first six months of 2018 that the network has set monthly ratings records.

In both Primetime and Total Day, Science Channel hit highs in 2Q among Adults and Males 25-54 and Total Viewers P2+. 2Q was also the fifth consecutive quarter that the network has seen year over year growth in Primetime among adults 25-54. Wednesday nights were up 30% vs. 2017 behind premiere episodes of the robot fighting series BATTLEBOTS and longtime fan favorite OUTRAGEOUS ACTS OF SCIENCE while Sundays increased 28% with premieres of DEADLY INTELLIGENCE, NASA'S UNEXPLAINED FILES, UNEARTHED and COOPER'S TREASURE. Sophomore series MYSTERIES OF THE ABANDONED was up 38% over its first season ranking the engineering series as Science Channel's most watched series of 2018 to-date among Total Viewers P2+. Among Adults 25-54, MYSTERIES OF THE ABANDONED, BATTLEBOTS and the classic space series HOW THE UNIVERSE WORKS are tied for the network's highest rated series to date in 2018.

In June, Science Channel hit highs in Primetime among Adults/Men/Women 25-54 as well as Total Viewers P2+. The network also saw impressions increase in Primetime 17% over 2017 in total viewers, making it the most watched June in its history. In Primetime, network ratings were up double digits over 2017 with Adults 25-54 (18%), Men 25-54 (20%), and Total Viewers P2+ (28%). Behind the success of BATTLEBOTS, Wednesdays in June were up 34% over 2017, while Sundays were the most watched night of the week with an increase of 43% over 2017.
