Science Channel has named Caroline Perez Vice President of Development and Production. The announcement was made by Marc Etkind, General Manager for Science Channel to whom Perez will report. In this role Perez will be responsible for bringing new series to the network while supervising the development and production of concepts to green light, in addition to maintaining the quality of current series through production and delivery. Additionally, Perez will identify writers, producers and talent for new programming.

Perez most recently served as Vice President, Production & Development for
Destination America where she oversaw production, development and new content, and was part of the creative team behind the channel's programming initiatives. During her tenure with the network, Perez developed and executive produced top performing series on the network including
MOUNTAIN MONSTERS and Railroad Alaska, among others.
Before joining Destination America, Perez was Director of Production for TLC, where she executive produced hit series that included Four Weddings, Extreme Couponing, The Making of a Royal Wedding and DC Cupcakes. Earlier, Perez served as the Director of Development & Production at
VH1 and began her career in the Page Program at NBC.
Perez graduated with a degree in Film Studies from Wesleyan University and is based in New York.
