Scandal Cast To Perform Live Stage Reading Of Series Finale To Benefit The Actors Fund 4/19  Image

The Actors Fund - the national human services organization that fosters stability and resiliency, and provides a safety net for performing arts and entertainment professionals over their lifespan - announced today that the cast of ABC's SCANDAL will reunite for a one-night-only LIVE staged reading of the highly-anticipated final episode on Thursday, April 19 - the same night the series finale airs on television! All proceeds from this once in a lifetime event will benefit The Actors Fund's programs and services.

The Actors Fund's SCANDAL Finale Live Staged Reading will star, subject to availability, Kerry Washington, Guillermo Diaz, Darby Stanchfield, Katie Lowes, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Perry, Joshua Malina, Bellamy Young, Scott Foley, Joe Morton, Cornelius Smith Jr. and George Newbern.

The event will take place at Hollywood's El Capitan Theatre from 8:00-9:30pm on Thursday, April 19. Individual tickets, priced at $500, $250, $100 and $75, are now on sale at www.actorsfund.org/Scandal. The $500 tickets include a post-show Q&A with the cast plus a reception with "Scandal" guest stars; the $250 tickets include the post show Q&A with the cast.

The seventh and monumental final season of "Scandal" has had fans on the edge of their seats leading up to the ultimate episode of the series. As a staple in the Shonda Rhimes programming block known as "TGIT," the Washington, DC drama about a political fixer named Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and her team of associates who sacrifice their time, and often their morals, to "handle" unimaginable crises affecting the nation's elite.

Over the course of the past seven seasons, "Scandal" has been awarded an AFI Award, two NAACP Image Awards, a Peabody Award, a Gracie Award, a WIN Award and many other accolades. In addition, Kerry Washington received the NAACP Image Award for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series three years in a row and Joe Morton and Dan Bucatinsky have both received Emmy Awards for Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series.

"Scandal" was created by Shonda Rhimes ("Grey's Anatomy," "How to Get Away with Murder"). Shonda Rhimes, Betsy Beers ("Grey's Anatomy," "How to Get Away with Murder"), Mark Fish and Tom Verica are executive producers. "Scandal" is produced by ABC Studios.
