The newly announced final season of ABC's 'Desperate Housewives,' will feature the return of Sarah Paulson's character Lydia, Lynette's loser sister,according to Hollywood Reporter. Paulson will return for one episode.
"Lynette always helped put the pieces back in Lydia's disastrous personal life, but she is now engaged and shows up with her new fiancé," executive producer Bob Daily tells TVGuide.com.
"We'll hear her say, 'Oh Lynette, I'm so sorry. What can I do to help?' The seeds of sibling rivalry are planted as the roles are reversed," Daily explained.
Paulson first appeared on the show during Season 4 in 2007. Her other TV appearances have included ABC'S 'Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip,' 'Cupid,' and 'Grey's Anatomy.'
Daily also told TVGuide that some of the children will return to the show for the final season, including Susan's daughter, Julie, Bree's daughter, Danielle and an older Kayla, Tom's illegitimate daughter.
