Sara Rue Joins Cast of ABC Comedy Pilot MALIBU COUNTRY

Deadline.com reports that actress Sara Rue will join the cast of the upcoming ABC comedy pilot MALIBU COUNTRY. Rue will join previously announced cast members Reba McEntire and Lily Tomlin.

Kevin Abbott will pen the project which tells the tale of Reba Gallagher (McEntire) who, "after her “good ol boy” rock star husband cheats on her and burns through most of their money, divorces him and moves her family from Nashville to the only asset she has left — a little house in Malibu." In her new surroundings, she will attempt to restart her singing career and keep her kids from being influenced by the materialistic and shallow world of Malibu. Rue will portray Reba's neighbor, described as a "share-too-much, hug-too-freely, trophy wife."

Rue has appeared on TV in 'Less Than Perfect'  and can currently be seen in CBS's Rules of Engagement. She will co-star in ABC Family's 'My Future Boyfriend' premiering April 10th,
