According to Variety, actress Saoirse Ronan is set to star in director Kevin Macdonald's upcoming film, HOW I LIVE NOW. The film is an adaptation of the Meg Rosoff novel by the same name.
The actress will play the role of 15-year-old Daisy, who is forced to leave her home in Manhattan to live with her aunt and three male cousins in London. Due to an attack on London, Daisy and her young cousins must flee the city and learn to survive on a desolate farm with no power as the war rages on in the country.
The novel has been adapted for the big screen by wrtiers Jeremy Brock (The Eagle, The Last King of Scotland) and Tony Grisoni (The Red Riding Trilogy).
The young actress has had a busy year, filming the upcoming movies Violet and Daisy, Byzantium and The Host.
HOW I LIVE NOW is still in the pre-production stages and is set to be released in theaters sometime in 2014.
