Samuel Goldwyn Films Acquires Rights to Rose Marie WAIT FOR YOUR LAUGH Movie

Samuel Goldwyn Films announced today they have acquired the worldwide (English speaking territories) rights to director/producer Jason Wise's feature documentary, WAIT FOR YOUR LAUGH, which chronicles the extraordinary life and trail-blazing, ninety-year, career of legendary singer, actress, and comedienne, Rose Marie.

Samuel Goldwyn Films will release a DVD with extras in early spring, in addition to releasing the film across numerous digital platforms.

Rose Marie's RISE to fame began at the age of four with her own NBC radio show. As she grew, she went from the stages of Vaudeville to the bright lights of Vegas, to some of the most iconic television shows. But it's not just credits like The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Doris Day Show, and Hollywood Squares that make her life so memorable. It began with a complicated relationship with her father, who was a member of the mob, and goes on to include characters like Al Capone, Bugsy Siegel, Jerry Lewis, and Johnny Carson, who all played a part in her story of fame, love, tragedy, and success.

The film was shot on Kodak's 35mm and 16mm film stock, to match the never-before-seen color footage that Rose Marie and her husband, famed trumpeter Bobby Guy, shot "behind the scenes," at home, and in travels throughout their life.

WAIT FOR YOUR LAUGH is produced by Forgotten Man Films, Jason Wise, Christina Wise and Jackson Myers, with Executive Producers Georgiana Guy Rodrigues, Diane Carpenter, David Carpenter, William Fowler, Debra Davis and Melissa Gail April Klein.
