Saks Fifth Avenue Returns to NBC's FASHION STAR for a Second Season

Saks Fifth Avenue will return to NBC's Fashion Star for second season, and style icon Terron Schaefer will once again represent Saks on the show. Fashion Starreturns to NBC tonight at 8 p.m./7c.

Fashion Star is a reality competition TV Show, in which 12 unknown designers will be teamed up with celebrity mentors, for the chance to launch their collections in three of America's most well-known retailers (Saks, Express and Macy's). Each week, working with their mentors, the contestants are given a challenge to design clothing with a certain look, feel, and functionality. The culmination of their efforts comes with a fashion show during which they display their work to the "buyers" of the three retailers. At the end of each episode, judges from the retailers will go head-to-head and compete against each other for the right to purchase and exclusively carry the work of that week's winner. The designs selected by Terron Schaefer will immediately be available for purchase online at saks.com following the show.

In the end, one designer will successfully combine fashion and business to become the next "Fashion Star" and will receive the grand prize - $3 million in orders for capsule collections in each of Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy's, and Express.
