WEDNESDAY NIGHT RIVALRY - SABRES-BLUE JACKETS AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
The Blue Jackets look to rebound from a pair of home losses to Tampa Bay and Los Angeles last week, which was preceded by a four-game winning streak. Rookie Sonny Milano leads the team with five goals through eight games, while former Chicago Blackhawk Artemi Panarin, who was traded to the Blue Jackets in the offseason, leads the team with nine points.
The Sabres enter the week following a 5-4 come-from-behind win in overtime against the Boston Bruins on Saturday. Buffalo trailed 3-0 early in the second period, but Evander Kane netted the tying goal late in the third period, and Ryan O'Reilly potted the game-winner in overtime. Through nine games, three Sabres have accounted for 11 points (Eichel, Kane and Jason Pominville).
Five-time Emmy Award-winner Mike 'Doc' Emrick (play-by-play), former NHL player, coach and general manager Mike Milbury (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire ('Inside-the-Glass' analyst) will call this week's Sabres-Blue Jackets Wednesday Night Rivalry game from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.
RED WINGS-SABRES - TOMORROW AT 7:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN
Detroit is winless in its last four contests after jumpstarting the season with wins in four of its first five games. Tonight's game against the Sabres marks the first of three straight road games for the Red Wings. Forward Henrik Zetterberg ranks second on the team in points (nine), boosted by a four-point performance against the Golden Knights on Oct. 13, the Red Wings' most recent victory.
Kenny Albert (play-by-play) and Brian Boucher ('Inside-the-Glass analyst) will have the call from KeyBank Center in Buffalo, N.Y.
