SUPERNATURAL Star Osric Chau to Launch Custom App Image

Osric Chau, the Canadian-born actor who is best known for his recurring role as Kevin Tran in the hit CW series SUPERNATURAL, launched his very own free custom mobile app today. The app built in collaboration with escapex, gives Osric the ability to interact with his fans from wherever he is in the world and enables fans to communicate directly with him.

An exciting patented feature in Osric's app gives fans the ability to boost their own or other fans' comments within the app, increasing visibility to actually be seen by the star himself. To celebrate the launch of the new app, Osric will visit the home of one lucky fan, taking them and their friends and family, taking engagement with the fans to the next level!

"I've always been tentative to share too much on social media," says Osric. "I just don't think I live that interesting a life. This app is for the people who disagree and for me, like a journal that talks back to me; like Tom Riddle's journal that Ginny had in Chamber of Secrets, except that people writing back to me aren't a piece of Voldemort's soul and trying to kill me."

And honestly, I'll take any excuse to travel to new places or meet new people and just try to see the world from different perspectives, so this CONTEST is going to be a lot of fun for me. I'll get to go to a new place, get to know some cool people, do some fun activities - something they choose, something I choose - and then some good food to reflect back on all the poor choices we made that day! Sounds like an amazing trip to me!"

Fans are encouraged to download the free app HERE and start posting so that Osric can make his choice.

Osric Chau, who is based in Vancouver, BC, is an accomplished martial arts athlete who originally wanted to become a stunt man and worked in video games prior to making his acting debut. He broke into film with his performance in KUNG FU KILLER opposite David Carradine and Daryl Hannah. He also played a supporting role in the 2009 film 2012. But it was when he came into the world of the hit CW series SUPERNATURAL as Kevin Tran, a teenager from Neighbor, Michigan who becomes a prophet on the show, that he became a favorite of fans all over the world. Osric is also currently working on a number of independent feature films and has plans to produce one his own in the future. Most recently, Osric was a series regular in BBC America's DIRK GENTLY'S HOLISTIC DETECTIVE AGENCY as the maniacal energy vampire Vogel.
