STATE LIKE SLEEP to Open 15th Los Angeles Women's Int'l Film Fest  Image

The 15th annual Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival opens on Thursday, March 21 at 8pm at the Regal Cinemas at LA Live in Downtown Los Angeles. Kicking off with screening of State Like Sleep, the festival continues through Sunday, March 24, with features, documentaries, shorts. The festival closes Sunday, March 24 at 8:00 pm with a screening of Daisy Winters staring Brooke Shields, Iwan Rheon, Carrie Preston, Sterling Jerins. Directed and written Esther Bialas.

State Like Sleep takes place one year after the sudden death of her celebrity husband. When Katherine Grand receives a phone call that pulls her back to Brussels and the life there that she's tried to forget. Once back, she discovers a web of SECRETS that compel her to unravel the mysteries surrounding Stefan's last days alive. The screening will be followed by Q/A with directed Meredith Danluck.

The Los Angeles Women's International Film Festival is programmed by Diana Means. First launched in 2004 the festival serves as a platform for women filmmakers worldwide to share their unique stories and cultural experiences with Los Angeles' diverse audience.
