STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI In 3D Soars to Top of Box Office

Today, RealD, Inc. the world's largest 3D cinema platform and leading visual technology company, announced that Lucasfilm's STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI earned an impressive 34% of its worldwide gross from 3D performances of the film. $153 million of the total estimated nearly $450 million worldwide box office gross came from 3D ticket sales and an estimated $76 million was collected from RealD equipped locations. This does not include the China market which exhibits almost entirely in 3D. Star Wars: The Last Jedi premieres in China on January 5, 2018.

In the United States, approximately 30% of the film's opening ticket sales came from 3D performances.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" is written and directed by Rian Johnson and produced by Kathleen KENNEDY and Ram Bergman. J.J. Abrams, Tom Karnowski and Jason McGatlin are the executive producers.

"Star Wars: The Last Jedi" opened in U.S. theaters on December 15, 2017.
