Chris Rene, a finalist on Season One of the Fox singing competition THE X FACTOR, has debuted his first music video for his new single 'Young Homie'.
Rene launched his professional singing career this week with the single which he originally performed on the show. In the video, Rene reintroduces himself to fans in a clip that highlights some of the struggles he has encountered in his life.
Before appearing on The X Factor, Rene was part of the rock band Diversion before entering rehab for alcohol and drug abuse. He first performed "Young Homie" on the X Factor on September 21, 2011 and informed the judges that he'd been sober for several years. The singer ultimately finished in third place behind competitors Josh Kracjik and Melanie Amaro. Amaro went on to win the $5 million recording contract.
