After making a splash with its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Jonathan Teplitzky's THE RAILWAY MAN, starring Nicole Kidman and Colin Firth, has released its first international trailer. Check it out below!
In the film, based on Eric Lomax's autobiography of the same name, Firth plays Lomax, an engineer who is captured by the Japanese during World War II and sent to work on the brutal Burma-Siam railroad where he was repeatedly tortured and interrogated. Kidman plays his wife, who yearns to understand her husband's suffering.
Lionsgate will release the film in the United Kingdom on January 3, 2014, however, there are also a number of North American distributors currently vying for the distribution rights.
