Sprout today announced several newly acquired series will debut beginning in August, adding to the 24-hour preschool network's robust lineup of quality programming. Three new programs, Sarah & Duck (August), Zou (September) and Stella and Sam (November) will all debut prior to the end of the year. The new series deepen Sprout's commitment to deliver high-quality, innovative content to viewers. Sprout owns the longest active streak of month-over-month Women 18-49 audience growth among all cable networks at 20 consecutive months.

"Sprout is dedicated to creating engaging and interactive experiences to preschoolers and parents," said Andrew Beecham, Senior Vice President of programming at Sprout. "We strive to find the very best programs that families can enjoy together, and Zou, Sarah & Duck, Stella and Sam all meet that demand."

The popular British series Sarah & Duck will make its U.S. premiere on Sprout, marking the first-ever deal between BBC Worldwide and the network. The show follows the adventures of Sarah and her loud, quacky best friend Duck, as they explore their world in their own wobbly and imaginative way. The charming and quirky animated series focuses on the day-to-day new experiences and learnings of childhood. Sarah & Duck will premiere on Monday, Aug. 19 as part of Sprout's live, hosted Sunny Side Up Show morning block. Sarah & Duck is a Karrot Entertainment Production with CBeebies and BBC Worldwide, created by Sarah Gomes Harris and Tim O'Sullivan, produced by Jamie Badminton and Executive Produced by Chris White, Alison Stewart, and Henrietta Hurford-Jones.

Following the August debut of Sarah & Duck is the premiere of the French animated series Zou, on Monday, Sept. 2 during The Sunny Side Up Show. Zou, which airs in more than 100 countries, is based on the hugely successful books by Michel Gay and created, produced and distributed by the Cyber Group Studios. Zou is all about growing up and the relationships between family members and friends. The 3D CGI sit-com features a lovable five-year old Zebra (nicknamed "Zou") and his extended family, as he explores with warmth and humor the world around him. Zou brings a new sense of discovery and exploration to each day since he is at the age where his horizons are expanding. His inquisitive nature and eagerness to learn provide a unique look into the world of growing up.

Rounding out the lineup is the premiere of the award-winning Stella and Sam on Nov. 1. Based on the best-selling book series by world-renowned Canadian author and illustrator Marie-Louise Gay, Stella and Sam captures the joy and wonder of childhood. With wild red hair and an imagination to match, nine-year-old Stella is truly a 'star' in the eyes of her younger brother Sam. Stella, who does ninety-nine things a day and wouldn't dream of leaving Sam out of the fun, explores the world in all its seasons with wild adventures and comical mishaps. In each episode, the pair makes friends and discovers many things - especially about themselves, and growing up. Stella and Sam is licensed by Bejuba! Entertainment and produced by Radical Sheep Productions.

Zou, Sarah & Duck and Stella and Sam will also have a strong online presence with 15 new games on SproutOnline.com.
