Jennifer Giddens has been named Vice President of Marketing for Sprout, the 24-hour preschool network. Giddens will drive and implement the network's consumer and trade marketing strategy and will create customized marketing campaigns to support both current and new series. The announcement was made by Sprout President Sandy Wax, to whom Giddens will report.

"Jennifer brings an impressive track record of success to our rapidly growing network," said Sandy Wax, President of Sprout. "Her robust television experience combined with a proven ability to work on a variety of integrated marketing campaigns makes her a tremendous asset to Sprout, as we build upon our commitment to reach families everywhere across multiple platforms."

Giddens will have oversight for Sprout's growing social media presence across platforms and will also develop the marketing strategy for Sprout's brand efforts including the network's pro-social campaign Kindness Counts. Additionally, she will lead partnership and affiliate marketing for Sprout along with marketing efforts to increase advertising revenues across all network platforms for Sprout and NBC Kids. She will work in collaboration across NBCU networks and properties as well as with external partners to generate effective cross-promotional opportunities, and will serve as a key member on Sprout's executive team.

Giddens joins Sprout after spending the last ten years with Turner Networks in Atlanta. As a Senior Director at TNT, Giddens managed cross-departmental, multiplatform brand activations for all TNT scripted series including: Falling Skies, Dallas, Franklin & Bash, Leverage, The Last Ship, Mob City and Major Crimes & Perception. Additionally, she managed the development of brand implementation for internal studio initiatives including ecommerce, international support and distribution, sampling and new audience development. Prior to her time at Turner Networks, Giddens was a manager of affiliate marketing with Scripps Network.

Sprout is one of the leading children's networks and has a current streak of 21 consecutive months of year-over-year growth with Women 18-49, which is the longest current streak among all cable networks. The network's consistent and impressive ratings escalation is due in large part to the Sprout's unique programming strategy. Sprout offers original series like The Chica Show, which was Sprout's highest-rated original series premiere to-date when it launched on November 24, 2012, and Pajanimals, a Sprout original co-production with The Jim Henson Company. The network's gold-standard, curriculum-based preschool series also includes favorites such as Sesame Street, Barney & Friends, The Wiggles, Caillou, Thomas & Friends, LazyTown and more.
