The Los Angeles Philharmonic Association and The Muppets Studio announced today that Bobby Moynihan will be a "very special guest star" at The Muppets Take the Bowl live stage show on September 8, 9 and 10 at the Hollywood Bowl.

Fresh from his incredible nine-year run on Saturday Night Live and just prior to launching his new sitcom Me, Myself & I, this fall, BobbyMoynihan has decided to put his entire career in the hands of the Muppets. As the host of The Muppets Take the Bowl for three amazing nights at the Hollywood Bowl, Bobby will flaunt his incandescent comedic talents, plus be forced to do things he's never done before, such as tripping the light fantastic with Kermit the Frog, creating culinary chaos with The Swedish Chef, making comedy magic with Fozzie Bear, and, of course, avoiding the wrath of Statler & Waldorf. Fasten your funny belt, it's going to be a hilarious ride!

"I am so wildly excited to host The Muppets Take the Bowl at the Hollywood Bowl. This is a dream come true. I have been a fan of the Muppets my entire life and to be part of this live show is mind blowing. I've never done anything like this before..., for instance, why does Gonzo want me to get in a cannon filled with tapioca?" saidBobby Moynihan. "The fans are in for a treat. It's pure Muppet magic and joy."

"When I found out that Bobby is a fan of mine and that he has never been shot out of a cannon or dipped fully-clothed into tapioca, I knew he'd be the perfect guest star for our show," said The Great Gonzo. "I promise that the audience - and Bobby - will be amazed, surprised and utterly stupefied by what happens on stage at the Hollywood Bowl."

Other highlights include the fabulous Miss Piggy in a show-stopping musical performance; Dr. Teeth and The Electric Mayhem, with legendary drummer Animal, rocking the Bowl; debuts of all-new original chapters of Pigs in Space, Veterinarian's Hospital and Muppet Labs; and many more extraordinary surprises - including a spectacular fireworks finale, kicked-off by Crazy Harry.

The Muppets Take the Bowl is the Muppets' first-ever dedicated live show. Overflowing with original music, classic Muppet songs, dancing, a singing-diva pig, fan-favorite sketches and parodies, boomerang fish and heaven knows what else, the show invites audiences of all ages to join the entire Muppets cast, along with Bobby, conductor Thomas Wilkins, the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, and special celebrity guests for a once-in-a-lifetime, unforgettable event!

The curtain will rise for the first show on Friday, September 8, at 8:00 p.m., followed by encore performances on Saturday, September 9, at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, September 10, at 7:30 p.m.
