For Lynn Turner, there is nothing more attractive than a man with a uniform, except for his handsome paycheck. After Lynn's marriage to a well-respected police officer ends, she searches for love once again and finds herself in the arms of a firefighter. Soon Lynn and Randy Thompson move in together and have two children, but their romance eventually turns tumultuous and Randy moves out. With hopes of rekindling their marriage, Randy agrees to a dinner with Lynn and the children, but this family get together turns out to be his last supper. When friends and family cannot get in touch with Randy they go to his apartment only to find him dead. After a thorough investigation, sources find out that Randy is not the only one close to Lynn that had an ill-fated demise, and Lynn's past begins to unravel.
