Sesame Workshop, the non-profit educational organization behind Sesame Street, announced Wednesday that a new muppet named Julia is joining Elmo and his friends in both books and a new app as part of the new "Sesame Street and Autism: See Amazing in All Children" campaign.

The character, who "does things a little differently," according to the workshop, is part of the show's campaign to help change the stigma of autism.
