According to The Huffington Post, Lupe Ontiveros, star of such films as 'Selena' And 'As Good As It Gets,' has died at age 69. The actress had been reportedly suffering from liver cancer. She is survived by her husband and three adult children.

The Mexican-American actress is best known for her role of convicted murderer Yolanda Saldivar in the 1997 film 'Selena', a biographical drama about the life and career of the late Tejano music star Selena, who was shot to death at the age of 23. Ontiveros also found great success in a wide range of roles working in theater, including Broadway's 1978's "Zoot Suit" in which she played Dolores Reyna.

Ontiveros once joked that she had portrayed a maid in over 150 films throughout her long, successful career, including roles in the TV series "Reba," "Who's The Boss" and in the film 'Charlie's Angels.' Ontiveros' other credits include "Hill Street Blues," and "Desperate Housewives," for which she was nominated for an Emmy Award.
