SEC Network is expanding on its coverage of Southeastern Conference Championships this year with high-end cinematography and new vantage points. The network is utilizing its newest series, SEC Inside, to further showcase the SEC's biggest moments of the year.
SEC Inside launched this fall chronicling a home matchup for all 14 SEC football teams. The show implemented unique camera angles and previously unheard sounds from the coaches and players leading up to and during the game.
"As we said over the summer, we're placing a premium on storytelling, said Rosalyn Durant,
ESPN senior vice president, college networks.
SEC INSIDE has been a great vehicle for that, and utilizing it for SEC Championships will provide fans with a unique vantage point into sports and teams that they are passionate about."
SEC Inside will chronicle Men's Basketball, Women's Basketball, Gymnastics, Baseball and Softball Championship games on Wednesdays at 7 p.m. ET (similar to its fall time slot):
SEC Inside: Women's Basketball Tournament -March 9
SEC Inside: Men's Basketball Tournament -March 16
SEC Inside: Gymnastics Championship -March 23
SEC Inside: Softball Tournament -May 18
SEC Inside: Baseball Tournament -June 1
The new shows are in addition to live event airings and
SEC NOW coverage of every SEC championship game.
Up first are the SEC Women's and Men's Basketball Tournaments as part of ESPN's Champ Week presented by DICK'S Sporting Goods.
