From undercover investigations to peaceful protests throughout LA, animal lover and filmmaker Kim Sill documents her 5-year journey rescuing ANIMALS while coming face-to-face with animal abusers, hoarders, gang members and owners of puppy mills. Saved In America tells her story of defeat and triumph, and showcases the EVERYDAY heroes who spend their time and resources saving ANIMALS from death row. Screenings take place at noon in Agoura Hills, today, August 14 through August 20, with a special red carpet screening on August 15.

Sill, who protested for an entire year to raise awareness about pet shops selling puppy mill dogs, gained national attention working with Cesar Millan on an episode of Dog Whisperer. She went on to work with pet shop owners in Southern California, converting their stores to adoption centers for rescue animals, and in 2011 Sill opened her own humane pet store in Janss Marketplace in Thousand Oaks.

Sharing their passion for rescue animals, several celebrities appear in Saved In America including Pink, Cesar Millan, Dr. Phil, Kim Kardashian, and Katherine Heigl.

"Anyone who loves or has loved a pet should see this film. It exposes the pet industry, the animal welfare system, and will open your eyes about how all of us must come together to make a change," states Katherine Heigl and her mother Nancy.

"So happy that my song is in Kim's film," states Diane Warren. "What she does for these ANIMALS is amazing and proves that if we put our hearts into saving animals, we can!"

After each screening, a short Q&A will follow, featuring a different rescue group in the LA area. All ticket sales from that day will be donated directly to that organization.
