Charlie Emseis, who has cut the SABLE FABLE movie, edited the teaser. The teaser is fast paced, gritty and raw. It borrows from the action and suspense thriller genre. There are also subtle elements of a high-octane video game in the 54-second clip.
Sable Fable was shot in the summer of 2012. However, most of the teaser was shot early in 2013 whilst London was snowed under. Writer/director Stephen Lloyd Jackson says from the conception of the script, he wanted the movie to have a varied weather palette.
Jackson goes on to say, "For me, this is what indie filmmaking is all about; first visualizing and then hoping that the moments you can't control will fall in place for
you at the right time."
Jackson's brief to the editor and idea behind the teaser, was not to give anything away about the movie. Yet, to put a piece together that would not just hold an audience, but also mesmerize them.
SAR Productions will be releasing a few more trailers and teasers over the next few weeks. They have also enlisted the services of Romanian editor Dragos
Teglas. He made two trailers and done some off-line editing work on 'David Is Dying'.
Sable Fable is SAR Productions' second movie in Jackson's 'sex and race' trilogy. The first movie was David Is Dying, which scooped no less than eight international film awards.
The first screening of 'Sable Fable' will take place at the Colony Theatre, 1040, Lincoln Rd, Miami Beach, FL 33139, on Thursday 20th June 2013 at 10am and the second screening will take place at the Miami Beach Cinematheque, 1130, Washington Ave. First Floor, South Side (Old City Hall) Miami Beach, Florida 33139 on Friday 21st June at 7.15pm.
