Rupert Everett, Colin Firth and David Tennant Star in THE LEGEND OF FRITTON'S GOLD, Out on VOD, 8/27

Freestyle Digital Media has set August 27th, 2013 for the VOD release of the classic Brit Com THE LEGEND OF FRITTON'S GOLD, directed and produced by Oliver Parker and Barnaby Thompson and written by Piers Ashworth and Nick Moorcroft.

The film features Rupert Everett (MY BEST FRIEND'S WEDDING), Academy Award Winner Colin Firth (THE KINGS SPEECH), David Tennant ("Dr. Who," "Broadchurch"), Gemma Arterton (HANSEL AND GRETEL: WITCH HUNTER) and Juno Temple (LOVELACE) and will debut on most VOD platforms including iTunes, DirecTV and Cable Networks with a DVD release to be announced shortly.

THE LEGEND OF FRITTON'S GOLD tells of the adventure of a group of British boarding school girls as they go on the hunt for buried treasure after discovering that headmistress Miss Fritton (Everett) is related to a famous pirate.

"This classic Brit Com is based on the St. Trinians cartoons by Ronald Searle, that later became the subject of a popular series of comedy films.
