The 3rd Annual Royal Film Festival opens March 18, bringing more than two dozen local, national and international films to the big screen.

The two-day event take places Friday, March 18, from 7 -10 p.m. and Saturday, March 19, from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. at the historic Royal Theatre, 111 South Market Street.

Tickets cost $10 in advance or $15 at the door and include two-day admission. Tickets can be purchased online at www.theroyalplayers.com.

The festival opens at 7 p.m. Friday with the feature film Pipe Dream, followed by a meet-and-greet with director Aaron Singfield. Saturday offers a full day of films - from documentaries and narrative shorts, both foreign and Arkansas made.

"We are proud of the diversity of films we are able to bring to Central Arkansas this year," sad festival organizer Lisa Goodrich. "We've purposely kept the admission price very affordable so more people interested in film and filmmaking can attend. For the price of a movie and popcorn, you can see more than a dozen original films that you can't see anywhere else."

There will also be opportunities to interact with the filmmakers.
