According to Variety, Olurotimi Akinosho - aka Rotimi - will star opposite Erica Ash in the indie romantic comedy "Singleholic," based on the novel of the same name by Katharine Bing.
Bryan Barber is attached to direct the movie, which follows Ash, who wakes up on the morning of her 35th birthday and decides she wants to settle down and get married, so she goes on a series of hilarious dates. In the film, Rotimi plays Ash's main love interest.
Katharine Birbalsingh adapted the screenplay and Milan Selassie is producing the film, which is currently in production in Mauritius, East Africa. Cassian Elwes is overseeing sales. The film also stars Stephen Bishop, Tyson Beckford, and Vanessa A. Williams.
Rotimi just wrapped production as a lead in the digital series "A Luv Tale," which he also serves as an executive producer on.Rotimi auditioned and subsequently got his first acting role on Boss (TV series) as drug dealer Darius Morrison. Rotimi also appeared in three episodes of ABC's Betrayal. Rotimi made his silver screen debut in the film Black Nativity (2013). Following this, he starred in Imperial Dreams at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival , which later won for "Best of NEXT". Rotimi next appeared in the high grossing film, Divergent (2014). In 2016 Rotimi also acted in the movie Deuces alongside Lance Gross and Larenz Tate. He was added to the cast of Starz' TV series Power as a series regular, in the role of Andre Coleman, the quick-tempered young protégé of the character Ghost.[6] Rotimi was also cast in a recurring role on Battle Creek as Danny.
