The New York Post reports that Rosie O'Donnell pulled out of a scheduled appearance for the premiere of Madonna's new concert film on Tuesday night due to a health scare. The Talk show host was supposed to appear on stage at the Paris Theatre with the Material Girl for a Q & A session on the new film, "Madonna: The MDNA Tour."
Sources tell The Post that O'Donnell received a "scary call from her doctors, but was examined and given the all-clear." A rep told Page Six, "Rosie had a suspicious CAT Scan," that had to be "checked out." The good news is, the Broadway vet was "given a clean bill of health" Wednesday morning. A source added, "You know it has to be a serious reason to stand up Madonna."
Last August, O'Donnell suffered a heart attack. She used the experience to promote healthy living to women of all ages.
The actress has appeared on the Broadway stage in Seussical, Fiddler on the Roof and Grease. She made her dramatic television debut in CBS's HallMark Hall of Fame production, Riding the Bus with My Sister.
On the big screen, O'Donnell has starred in A League of Their Own, Sleepless in Seattle, Another Stakeout, The Flintstones, Exit To Eden, Now and Then, Beautiful Girls, Harriet the Spy, Wide Awake, and was The Voice of Turk in Walt Disney's Tarzan. For six years, Rosie O'Donnell was America's best friend. For an hour each day she served as host and executive producer of the critically acclaimed and Emmy Award winning nationally Syndicated talk/variety series The Rosie O'Donnell Show.
