HBO's hit drama TRUE DETECTIVE will return for its second season with a few new additions to the cast; Ronnie Gene Blevins, Emily RIos, and Timothy V. Murphy will join the all-star cast of Colin Farrell, Taylor Kitsch, Rachel McAdams, and Vince Vaughn.
The series follows three police officiers (Farrall, Kitsch, McAdams) as they investigate a suspcious murder. Among their midst is habitual offender Frank Semyon, (Vaughn), who is attempting to distance himself from his criminal past. Blevins will portray a long-time friend and business partner to Seymon. Rios will play Gabby Behenna, a young woman suffering trauma from her roots in a borken home. Murphy's character will be a Russian thug, and will appear in the first episode of the season.
The second season will contain eight episodes, and each will be directed by a different director. The story will take place in a lesser known area of California, delibrately staying away from the glamorous world of Hollywood. The show is expected to return in the summer of 2015.
