According Variety.com, Soprano's star James Gandolfini and Saoirse Ronan have signed on to star in the upcoming indie teen drama, 'Violet & Daisy,' set for release next year.
The film will be directed by Geoffrey Fletcher, who's adaptation of 'Precious' won an Oscar. He began work on 'Violet & Daisy,' shortly after completely 'Precious.
"I wanted to make a film that was full of 'left turns,'" said Fletcher.
The film tells the story of two teenage "hitgirls." When they involve themselves in just another "quick and easy" job, they discover that their target was not what they expected.
Gandolfini's Broadway credits include the 1992 production of ON THE WATERFRONT and GOD OF CARNAGE in 2009. Ronan is best known for her roles in the films 'Atonement' and 'The Lovely Bones.'
