Ron Raines has joined the cast of Dating & Auditioning: the Web Series. In place of actors James Egan and Torrey Wigfield, new cast members Lee Chrisman and Conrad Le Bron also join the show.

Dating & Auditioning: the Web Series chronicles the highs and lows of those two anxiety-inducing activities in NYC. Main character Alice encounters quirky scenarios on her way to self-discovery; what she wants for her career, and her love life. Six different actresses portray Alice throughout the series; "Alice" represents more than one girl because her experiences are universal for NYC's 20-somethings.

The series will challenge the audience to decipher whether Alice is attending a date or an audition. This ambiguity prompts the viewers to decide what is appropriate and/or normal in either situation, reminding them that in the end, both are essentially interviews.

University of Michigan alumni Alexandra Eden, Emma Berdie Donson, and Christian Schulte are producing, directing, and acting in this comedic venture that will feature 10+ University of Michigan Theatre and Musical Theatre alumni.

Mr. Raines has a resumé longer than a Dickens novel, and rightfully so -- some of his highlights include a Tony Nomination for Best Actor in Follies, a three-time Emmy and Soap Opera Digest Award nominee for his role as villain Alan Spaulding on CBS's longest running daytime drama Guiding Light, and roles on shows Elementary and Person Of Interest. He starred on Broadway in Annie, Newsies, Chicago and Show Boat, and originated the role of Nick Longworth in Teddy and Alice with Len Cariou. He has soloed with over 50 major American and international orchestras, including the Boston Pops, the Philly Pops, the BBC Concert Orchestra, the Jerusalem Symphony, and the Israel Philharmonic, and has performed at Carnegie Hall, the 92nd Street Y, Tanglewood, the London Palladium, Rainbow and Stars, and Royal Festival Hall. He has appeared on four PBS "Great Performances," and has made two solo recordings on Jay Records and numerous cast albums. www.ronrainesonline.com

Lee Chrisman (Class of '09) can be seen in the film My Secret Friend and Dots, with TV roles on Fatal Encounters, Mysteries at the Museum, and Monsters Inside Me. He has performed Off-Broadway with Marvell Rep and the Pearl Theatre Company, and in staged readings for José Rivera. www.leechrisman.com

Conrad Le Bron has trained at Stella Adler Studio, Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA), National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA), The Actor's Centre Australia, The Bristol Old Vic UK, Susan Batson Studio, and The Actor's Studio Drama School NYC. www.conradlebron.com

Dating & Auditioning: the Web Series is comprised of 12 episodes, each 3-5 minutes long. This very funny show has finished filming and will launch September 9th and will then air weekly Tuesday's at 2pm on the series website listed below.
