Robert Englund to Guest Star on CBS's CRIMINAL MINDS

According to Entertainment Weekly, actor Robert Englund will be featured in an upcoming episode of the CBS drama series CRIMINAL MINDS. The actor will appear in the show's 19th episode which will be directed by the series star Matthew Gray Gubler. The episode will mark Gubler's third time at the helm. 

The actor is best known for his starring role as Freddy Krueger in the blockbuster horror film 'A Nightmare on Elm Street'. In the show, he will play Detective Gassner, who lends a hand at the BAU on a case which involves "ritualistic murders" in a town in Oregon. In the same episode, Buffy the Vampire Slayer actress Juliet Landau will play a ghost of a former actress named Catherine Heathridge.

Englund's TV credits include guest appearances on Hawaii Five-0, Supernatural, Bones and Chuck. Actresss Landau has lent her voice to a variety of animated TV characters.

The episode is scheduled to air this spring.
