Robert Blair, Jim Brehm Promoted to EVP, Warner Bros Int'l Television Distribution

Robert Blair and Jim Brehm have both been promoted to Executive Vice President, Warner Bros International Television Distribution where the two executives will jointly lead the international sales team, it was announced today by Jeffrey R. Schlesinger, President, Worldwide Television Distribution. Under the direction of Schlesinger, both executives will help develop the overall strategy and lead the sales efforts of Warner Bros programming outside the United States.

"Robert and Jim are two of the smartest most strategic executives in the international television business today," said Schlesinger. "They are responsible for some of the largest and most innovative deals we have done internationally, as well as having incredible client relationships. I am confident that together with our existing team of talented sales executive around the world we can continue to design new and innovative ways to license our programming internationally and grow our business."

Blair, a 15-year veteran of the company previously served as Senior Vice President, Northern Europe, Middle East, and Africa since 2006. He joined Warner Bros. International Television Distribution in 1998 as General Manager, Canadian Operations and was promoted to Vice President, & General Manager, Canadian Operations in 2000. Before that, he was with PolyGram Filmed Entertainment, where for three years he served as Director of Television, responsible for the sales, marketing and administration of all PolyGram and ITC properties to Canadian television. Prior to that, he held numerous positions with Canadian companies in the domestic and international distribution and production business. Blair began his career in the consumer products industry at Polaroid Canada. Blair holds a bachelor's degree in economics and finance from the University of Western Ontario.

Brehm, a 25-year veteran of the international television distribution business, the last five with Warner Bros., has served since 2008 as Senior Vice President, Sales, Canada, Asia Pacific and Latin America. He came to Warner Bros. International Television Distribution from The Walt Disney Company, where he spent the last two years as Senior Vice President, Sales, for Disney ABC International Television (DAIT). In that role, he had oversight of pay, free and on demand licensing for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. Prior to joining DAIT, Brehm worked at Paramount for 17 years, most recently as Executive Vice President, International Television, Paramount Pictures Worldwide TV Distribution. He began his career in the entertainment division of professional services firm Price Waterhouse (now PricewaterhouseCoopers).
