Rob Delaney has been cast in Jay Roach's untitled Fox News movie, according to Deadline.
Delaney will star alongside Nicole Kidman, Margot Robbie, Charlize Theron and John Lithgow. Delaney will play one of Meghan Kelly's producers in the feature, which is being co-financed and produced by BRON Studios. Lionsgate is selling international and close to closing a deal to co-finance and distribute domestic on the movie.
The untitled film is written by Oscar winner Christopher Randolph and focuses on the women who rose up against network boss Ailes and his toxic male culture.
Lithgow plays Fox News founder Roger Ailes in the feature with Theron playing Kelly, Nicole Kidman will play Gretchen Carlson, Margot Robbie will portray producer Kayla Pospisil, Allison Janney will play trailblazing feminist lawyer Susan Estrich, and Twilight star Ashley Greene will play former FOX & Friends host Abby Huntsman.
Kate McKinnon, Mark Duplass, and Alice Eve also star in the film.
Delaney is best known for his breakout role in Deadpool 2 alongside Ryan Reynolds and for creating in co-starring in Amazon/Channel 4 comedy Catastrophe, alongside Sharon Horgan.
