Richard Jenkins' next role is anticipated to be quite juicy: he has reportedly signed on to star in "Let Me In," an adaptation of the twisted Swedish Film "Let The Right One In."  In the original Swedish film, a bullied 12-year-old boy develops a friendship with a young vampire girl in Blackeberg, a suburb of Stockholm, in the early 1980s. It is suspected that Jenkins will play the part equivalent to Hakan, the older man who cares for the un-seeming girl.

According to Variety, Kodi Smit-McPhee and Chloe Moretz have also signed onto the project but no information has been released on their roles. The movie has a tentative 2010 release date.

Though famous for his screen career, including his Oscar nominated role The Visitor and participation in the HBO hit series Six Feet Under, Jenkins worked as an actor with the Trinity Repertory Company in Providence, Rhode Island, for which he served as Artistic Director from 1990-4 prior to Oskar Eustis.
