Richard Engel to Detail Latest Trip to Syria on NBC NIGHTLY NEWS Tomorrow

NBC News Chief Foreign Correspondent Richard Engel and his production team traveled into Syria early this morning to investigate the purported use of chemical weapons and speak directly with rebel leaders and supporters about the civil war that has already claimed the lives of over 70,000 people.

Engel's reports will appear across the platforms of NBC News beginning Wednesday, May 8, including "NBC Nightly News," and NBCNews.com.

"NBC Nightly News with BrIan Williams" provides reports and analysis of the day's most newsworthy national and international events.

Regular features include the "Fleecing of America," an examination of government waste, "Making a Difference," profiles of remarkable individuals who help others, and "In Their Own Words," segments in which individuals talk about the day's news.

Previous NBC News anchors have included John Cameron Swayze, Chet Huntley, David Brinkley, Frank McGee, John Chancellor, Roger Mudd and Tom Brokaw. NBC Nightly News has award-winning correspondents stationed in bureaus throughout the country and all over the world.
