Regina King, Judy Greer to Announce Nominees for 18th Annual SAG Awards, 12/14

Judy Greer, currently starring opposite George Clooney in "The Descendants," and Regina King, star of TNT's critically acclaimed drama series "Southland," will announce the nominees for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R), Executive Producer Jeff Margolis announced today. SAG President Ken Howard will introduce Greer and King.

The SAG Awards(R) nominations in five film and eight television categories will be revealed on Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2011 in the SilverScreen Theater at the Pacific Design Center in West Hollywood. The announcement will be telecast live on TNT and webcast live on tnt.tv and tbs.com at 9 a.m. (ET) / 6 a.m. (PT). Nominations for the SAG Honors for film and television stunt ensembles will also be announced on Dec. 14 by SAG Awards Committee Chair JoBeth Williams and SAG Awards Committee Vice Chair Daryl Anderson, webcast live at 8:50 a.m. (ET) / 5:50 a.m. (PT) on tnt.tv and tbs.com.

The 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards(R), one of the awards season's premier events, will be simulcast live coast-to-coast on TNT and TBS on Sunday, Jan. 29, 2012, at 8 p.m. (ET) / 5 p.m. (PT) from the Shrine Exposition Center in Los Angeles. An encore primetime telecast will begin immediately following on TNT at 10 p.m. (ET) / 7 p.m. (PT). The ceremony will also be telecast internationally, as well as to U.S. military installations overseas through the American Forces Network Broadcast Center.

Judy Greer has captivated both critics and audiences with engaging performances in over 70 films and television showS. Greer will next be seen starring in The Duplass Brothers' "Jeff Who Lives at Home" opposite Ed Helms and Jason Segel, and then in "Playing the Field," opposite Gerard Butler and Jessica Biel. On the small screen, Greer recently starred opposite Ashton Kutcher in a multi-episode arc on the hit series "Two And a Half Men" and will revive her role as the voice of "Cheryl" in the critically-acclaimed show "Archer" which returns this January.

Greer's numerous past film credits include "Love & Other Drugs," "Love Happens," "27 Dresses," "Elizabethtown," "The TV Set," "The Village," "13 Going on 30," "Adaptation," "The Wedding Planner," "What Women Want," "Three Kings," "Kissing a Fool," and "Jawbreaker." On television, Greer starred in the ABC comedy "Miss Guided," garnering rave reviews for her role as a woman who returns to her high school alma mater as a guidance counselor. Other television credits include "Modern Family," "How I Met Your Mother," "The Big Bang Theory," "House," "E.R.," "My Name is Earl," "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia," "Californication" and "Arrested Development."

As previously announced, in addition to starring as detective Lydia Adams on TNT's critically acclaimed series "Southland," Regina King is taking on an entirely new role in which she'll debut nominations morning: that of social media ambassador for the 18th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards. Through posts on Twitter and Facebook, King will serve as the online face for the awards, giving viewers unprecedented access to behind-the-scenes moments from the red carpet and during the show. Throughout the six weeks leading up to the SAG Awards, she'll be posting updates and perspectives on presenters, fashion, preparing for the big night and more. King's social-media messages will go out simultaneously via TNT, TBS and SAG Twitter and Facebook pages.

King's SAG Awards(R) history includes an Actor(R) nomination as a member of the cast in the film "Ray." Her extensive screen credits include "Jerry Maguire," "How Stella Got Her Groove Back," "Enemy of the State," "Boyz n the Hood," "Poetic Justice," "Higher Learning," "Our Family Wedding," "This Christmas," "Miss Congeniality 2: Armed and Fabulous," "Daddy Day Care," "Mighty Joe Young," "Legally Blonde 2: Red, White and Blonde," "Friday" and "A Thin Line Between Love and Hate," among many others. She also provided the voice of Kreela in the animated film "Ant Bully." For television, King's starring roles include the movies "Living Proof," "If These Walls Could Talk 2" and the groundbreaking series "227." She also supplied the voices of Huey and Riley for the animated series "The Boondocks."
