REELZ today announced two new original reality series joining its fall lineup starting with death-defying stunts in Extreme Escapes premiering Saturday, November 29 followed by Screen Machines on Tuesday, December 2 where a pop-culture obsessed prop shop crew builds epic replicas of world-famous TV and movie vehicles.
In Extreme Escapes top escape masters challenge the laws of physics in unbelievable stunts performed all around the world including magician Brandy LaPlante attempting to be the first woman to complete the insane car drop escape before being crushed and magician Michael Turco's attempt at a mobster-style challenge where he's shackled, put in cement shoes and tossed to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean. Screen Machines goes behind the scenes at Robert 'Videobob' Moseley's unique prop shop where he and his creative crew of ragtag
MISFITS build iconic vehicles from movies and television including the 1963 Cadillac convertible from Scarface, the Ghostbusters Ecto 1, the KITT car from Knight Rider and even the Jurassic Park Jeep. If you've seen it on screen, Videobob will build it. Series descriptions and air times are below.
Extreme Escapes - Saturday, November 29 at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT
Each one-hour episode of Extreme Escapes brings the shock, wonder and danger of escapology to television with astonishing performances by artists including America's Got Talent contestant Spencer Horsman,
MASTERS OF ILLUSION LIVE! performer Farrell Dillon, Las Vegas Laugh Factory's headlining comic magician Murray Sawchuck and his counterpart Jan Rouven and Hungarian escape artist David Merlini. Other daring stunts attempted on Extreme Escapes include illusionist Jonathan Pendragon putting himself in the line of fire for a dangerous and often deadly feat - attempting to catch a speeding bullet. The series also features a precarious escape set in China where internationally acclaimed illusionist Franz Harary must break free from the chains binding him to railroad tracks in the face of a powerful locomotive. Extreme Escapes will air on
REELZ Saturdays at 8pm ET/ 5pm PT.
Screen Machines - Tuesday, December 2 with two back-to-back episodes starting at 11pm ET/ 8pm PT.
Robert "Videobob" Moseley is the creative mastermind behind a unique prop shop in Dallas that creates iconic replica vehicles from TV shows and movies. His clients are often adult "fanboys" who still hold onto the big screen obsessions of their youth. But it's not cheap - a Delorean with Flux Capacitor will set you back a cool $60,000 just for starters. In each half-hour episode of Screen Machines Videobob and his crew - a ragtag bunch of
MISFITS including an aspiring illusionist, a brainy engineer and an exotic-dancer-turned-accountant - take on a new project where they research, gather materials, build, refine and test their vehicles before unveiling them to clients. No detail is too minor, no client too demanding and no challenge is too great for Videobob and his crew. Among the epic replicas the team builds is a 1960 Cadillac ambulance transformed into the Ghostbusters Ecto 1, a revamped 1963 Cadillac convertible to mimic the iconic "creampuff" from Scarface, the Knight Industries Two Thousand (KITT) from Knight Rider and a custom Jurassic Park style Jeep. Screen Machines will air Tuesdays at 11pm ET/ 8pm PT.
