According to the Hollywood Reporter, Reelz Channel has picked up the Sarah Palin documentary THE UNDEFEATED. The cable channel will premiere the film on March 11th, only one day after HBO debuts its film 'Game Change' which documents Palin's failed 2008 presidential campaign. The HBO saga will star Julianne Moore as Palin.
THE UNDEFEATed Follows Palin's ascent from Governor of Alaska to Republican bigwig. Stan E. Hubbard, CEO of Reelz commented, "We’re thrilled to have yet another opportunity to bring a big story to viewers. Sarah Palin is a charismatic figure who burst onto the political scene, and whatever your leanings, if you have any interest or curiosity in politics, social change or the Sarah Palin phenomenon, this is a must-see movie"
The documentary's creator Stephen K. Bannon added, "We are incredibly excited that ReelzChannel has made the courageous decision to present the network television premiere on the same weekend as the fictionalized hit-piece by HBO."
The film earned a mere $65,000 on the ten screens it opened on last summer and received mostly negative reviews from critics. New York Magazine's David Edelstein referred to the film as a "clamorous, two-hour political infomercial."
