The producers of the internationally Syndicated television series Raw Travel, announced today that Paul Rowan, the company's current head of research, has been elevated to Vice President of Distribution & Research.
The expanded title better reflects Rowan's current responsibilities tracking research while overseeing U.S. Syndication distribution and strategy for all of Raw Travel's current affiliates in over 168 cities representing over 94% of U.S. TV homes.
Los Angeles based Rowan has been working with the show since its launch in 2013. His role has steadily expanded as Raw Travel's U.S. distribution has more than doubled and its audience has steadily expanded to become the nation's #1 most watched authentic travel show on U.S. commercial television.
In his expanded role as Vice President of Distribution, Rowan will be tasked with assisting the show explore ways to better exploit 5 seasons' worth of evergreen content on additional outlets including OTT (Over the Top), 2 nd Run Cable, Broadcast Digi-nets, Mobile and more.
"Paul is an experienced TV and media veteran with a great background in both research and distribution. Most importantly, he understands the changing dynamics of the content business. His contributions have been invaluable to our ability to grow and become the nation's premiere authentic travel and lifestyle show on U.S. television," said Robert Rose, Creator and Executive Producer of the series.
"We're rapidly approaching production of our 100th episode. We're looking at ways we can better use potential outlets like Over the Top, Cable, Video on Demand or Mobile to allow our growing fan base to view content and older episodes from our still growing library while we continue to super-serve our affiliates in broadcast syndication. Paul will be front and center in those efforts," Rose continued.
Rowan's past experience in television includes research management roles at NCC Media, Universal Television and Genesis Entertainment.
Raw Travel is currently in its 5th Season of broadcast Syndication (NBC, CBS, ABC, Fox, etc.) in 94% of the U.S. and can also be seen on outlets all over the world including National Geographic People (Asia), Amazon (India), FOX (Europe) as well as several major airlines (Delta, Air Canada, Finnair, etc.).
