Billboard reports that famous rapper Drake is interested in resuming what made him famous in the first place: acting.

In 2001, Drake starred as Jimmy on the hit television show DEGRASSI: THE NEXT GENERATION, but ended acting when his character graduated high school a few years later. In a recent interview with W Magazine, Drake revealed what made him leave the show and if he is considering rebooting his acting career.

"Eventually, they realized I was juggling two professions and told me I had to choose," the Canadian artist said. "I chose this life."

Now that Drake has a stable career in music - he currently holds the No. 2 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and is possibly going to hit No. 1 next week - he is ready to go back to juggling.

"I can't wait to get back into acting. No one ever asks me to do movies, and, although music is my focal point now, I'd love to do a film."
