Rottofest, the annual weekend festival of comedy, film and music on Rottnest Island has announced its 2013 short film and comedy sketch official selections, which will be screened at the Festival on Rottnest Island today 7 and Sunday 8 September 2013.

The fifth annual Rottofest will be a weekend of film, comedy and music celebrating the finest comedy filmmakers, stand-up comedians and musicians from Western Australia and across the country.

Selected from over 100 entries from across Australia, the 18 shorts will be screened as part of Rottofest's Funniest Shorts, Australia's only comedy festival exclusively for Australian filmmakers.

"The 2013 selection of comedy shorts and sketches is without a doubt our strongest screening we have ever put together. This is a credit to all of the amazing up and coming comedy filmmakers from around Australia," said Festival Director, Ronan Freeburn.
