Live coverage of the Road to the Kentucky Derby, a series of major prep races for the 2013 Kentucky Derby presented by Yum! Brands, continues this Saturday with the Toyota Blue Grass Stakes from Keeneland Race Course in Lexington, Ky., (4:30-6 p.m. ET on NBC) and the Arkansas Derby from Oaklawn Park in Hot Springs, Ark., (6-7 p.m. ET on NBC Sports Network). The Road to the Kentucky Derby is a collaboration of The Jockey Club and the NBC Sports Group.
Tom Hammond will host the coverage from Keeneland Race Course. He will be joined by analysts Randy Moss and Jerry Bailey; reporters Donna Brothers, Kenny Rice,
Mike Battaglia and Bob Neumeier (from Oaklawn Park).
ROAD TO THE KENTUCKY DERBY All races in the Road to the Kentucky Derby series fall into the highest tier on Churchill Downs' new points system to determine starters for the 139th running of the Kentucky Derby on Saturday, May 4, on NBC. The points system features 36 stakes races overall and 17 marquee events for 3-year-old Thoroughbreds that comprise a 10-week run up to the first Saturday in May.
