Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution (WBDTD) has locked up deals for a broadcast weekend off-net window for "Rizzoli & Isles" in 95% of the country for a fall 2015 debut, it was announced today by Ken Werner, President, and Rick Meril, Executive Vice President & General Sales Manager, Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution.
The series has been sold into 170 markets including stations owned by Fox, CBS, Sinclair, Hearst, Gannett, Lin, Local TV, Cox, Raycom, Weigel, Meredith, Mission, Nexstar, New Age, Journal, Scripps, Gray, Grant, Max Media, London, West Virginia, Media, Lockwood, Drewry, Cordillera, Bonten, Bahakel, Citadel, Diversified, Woods, Schurz and Mckinnon.
On June 25th, the series debuted its 4th season and delivered the highest rated cable premiere for the summer season. It is among the top 10 basic cable drama of all time with Adults 25-54 - out of 165 original dramas and TNT's #3 rated original series ever with Adults 25-54 in the history of the cable network.
Based upon the crime novels by internationally best-selling author Tess Gerritsen, "Rizzoli & Isles" stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander as Boston detective Jane Rizzoli and medical examiner Maura Isles, close friends and complete opposites who, together, solve some of Boston's most notorious crimes.
The show was developed for television by Janet Tamaro, who serves as executive producer along with Bill Haber and Michael Katleman. The series is from Hurdler Productions and Ostar Productions in association with Warner Horizon Television.
"Rizzoli and Isles" is currently in its fourth season on TNT weekly airing Tuesdays at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT).
