Ethan Hawke, Drew Barrymore, Cher, Ralph Meeker, and Betty Hutton topline a roster of unusual cinema pairings

Gumshoe Mike Hammer and the melancholy prince of Denmark share the bill on Reel 13, THIRTEEN's weekly movie showcase for classic, short and independent films, in November's eclectic mix which concludes with Irving Berlin's classic musical, "Annie Get Your Gun," which will air with a special interview with singer and music historian Michael Feinstein.

WNET is the parent company of THIRTEEN and WLIW21, New York's public television stations. For nearly 50 years, WNET has been producing and broadcasting national and local documentary and other programs to the New York community.

Every Saturday night beginning at 9 p.m., viewers can catch a Classic hosted by film historian Neal Gabler, followed by an Indie, hosted by Richard Peña, Program Director of the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

The evening concludes with a Short selected by visitors to Reel13.org who vote for their favorite of three shorts every week.

November 5
"Kiss Me Deadly" (1955) Dir: Robert Aldrich
Noir with author Mickey Spillane's famous gumshoe Mike Hammer. With Ralph Meeker and Albert Dekker.
"Hamlet" (2000) Dir: Michael Almereyda
Ethan Hawke in the title role, set in modern-day NYC.

November 12
"Dressed to Kill" (1980) Dir: Brian De Palma
Thriller about a mysterious female killer determined to kill the prostitute who witnessed the murder. Stars Michael Caine and Angie Dickenson.
"Confessions of a Dangerous Mind" (2002) Dir: George Clooney
An adaptation of game show host Chuck Barris' unorthodox autobiography. Stars Sam Rockwell, Drew Barrymore, and George Clooney.

November 19
"Moonstruck" (1987) Dir: Norman Jewison
Cher won her Oscar for playing an Italian-American widow engaged to a reticent suitor who finds herself falling in love with his brother. With Nicholas Cage, Danny Aiello, and Olympia Dukakis.
"Helena From the Wedding" (2010) Dir: Joseph Infantolino
A newlywed couple's New Year's Eve party is disrupted by an unexpected guest.

November 26
"Annie Get Your Gun" (1950) Dir: George Sidney
Sharpshooter Annie Oakley (Betty Hutton) joins Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and aims to win her man (Howard Keel).
"Dirty Pretty Things" (2002) Dir: Stephen Frears
Employees at a posh London hotel investigate a bizarre murder. Starring Audrey Tautou.
