TODAY was the number-one morning show outright last week topping "Good Morning America" in total viewers for the second time in three weeks. This marks TODAY's 11th outright win this season and its biggest win over GMA since the Pyeongchang Olympics. TODAY also won the key demo A25-54 for the week, its 173rd week in the top spot, and its best streak in over six years. Additionally, TODAY was the only show to grow across the board week over week.

TODAY averaged 4.050 million total viewers, topping GMA by +80,000 (+2%) and leading CBS THIS MORNING by +928,000 (+30%)

  • This was TODAY's 2nd total viewer win in the last three weeks and its 11th #1 finish of the season
  • TODAY hit a six-week high among total viewers and posted its best advantage over GMA since the Pyeongchang Olympics (week of 2/19/2018).
  • Vs. prior year, TODAY reversed a loss to GMA and increased its advantage over CBS by 30%.
  • Vs. prior week, TODAY was the only program to increase in viewership, +2% (+87,000) vs. GMA and CBS each down -1%.

TODAY averaged 1.338 million A25-54 viewers, outperforming GMA by +198,000 (+17%) and CBS THIS MORNING by +550,000 (+56%)

  • TODAY has now ranked #1 among A25-54 viewers for 173 consecutive weeks (best streak in over six years) and 189 of the last 190 weeks
  • Vs. prior year, TODAY tripled its demo lead over GMA.
  • Vs. prior week, TODAY was the only program to post an increase in A25-54 viewership (+2%, or +31,000) vs. GMA -4% and CBS -6%. TODAY also saw higher advantages over the competition: 58% higher vs. GMA and up 18% vs. CBS.

TODAY averaged 972,000 A18-49 viewers, +167,000 (+21%) ahead of GMA and +405,000 (+71%) higher than CBS

  • Vs. prior year, TODAY's A18-49 lead over GMA more than doubled, up +120%.
  • TODAY was the only program up versus prior week, +1% (+12,000) vs. GMA and CBS both down -5%
